Sara Riel (b. 1980) studied fine arts in Reykjavik and Berlin. She works on the boundaries of wall art and traditional visual arts, addressing subjects related to science, nature, and social issues. She is best known for recognizable large-scale murals throughout Reykjavik, and her works can also be found on the streets of major cities like Berlin and Tokyo. Sara has exhibited in all major galleries and art spaces in Iceland and has participated in and curated her own exhibitions worldwide, in Europe, Asia, and the United States.
