Shoplifter / Hrafnhildur Arnardóttir (b. 1969) is one of Iceland's foremost contemporary artists and is based in New York in the United States. Hrafnhildur has garnered significant attention for her works made from natural and synthetic hair, which she uses to create sculptures, wall installations, and artworks that explore themes such as humor, fashion, and contemporary narratives. In 2019, Hrafnhildur represented Iceland at the Venice Biennale, showcasing her work "Chromo Sapiens," a kind of colorful synthetic hair cave with a sound installation by the band HAM.
