Lilý Erla Adamsdóttir earned a BA in Fine Art from the Iceland University of the Arts in 2011 and an MA in Artistic Textiles from the Swedish School of Textiles in Borås in 2017. Positioned at the intersection of art and design, her work explores surfaces – both natural and human – through a meticulous investigation of repetition, texture, and materiality. Adamsdóttir’s projects employ tufting techniques to examine the interplay of thread, color, and form, leading her to describe her works as "soft paintings" or "dancing embroidery."
