Geirþrúður Einarsdóttir (b. 1989) graduated from the visual arts department of the Iceland University of the Arts in the spring of 2016. In the autumn after graduation, she interned at the artist-run space A-Dash in Athens. Geirþrúður is also an educated tailor, therefore textiles and sewing are often prominent in her work. Geirþrúður strives for her works to be rich in material, but at the same time light and delicate. Lately she has been concentrating on painting. She has exhibited in Iceland and abroad.
