Hulda Vilhjálmsdóttir was born in Reykjavík in 1971. She graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts with a BA degree in painting in 2000. She studied for a diploma in pottery and ceramics at the Reykjavík School of Visual Art 2007-2008. Hulda has held numerous solo and group exhibitions in Iceland and abroad. Both art Museums and private individuals have works by her. In 2007 Hulda was nominated for the Carnegie ART award and in 2018 for the Icelandic Visual Arts Award for the solo exhibition Valbrá in Kling & Bang. In 2020, Hulda received the Living Art Museum’s art award, Tilberann, for her work in art for the past two decades.
