Í myndmáli ljósmyndanna gefur að líta efnislega og myndhverfa biðstofu. Verkin eru unnin í heimsfaraldri og bera merki um óvissu. Unnið er út frá biðinni með beinum og óbeinum hætti, t.a.m hugmyndinni um Limbó – að hanga í lausu lofti, vera í biðstöðu eða jafnvel forgarði helvítis.
Þolinmæðin er ekki lengur falleg dyggð.

Kristín Helga and Kristín Karólína are independent video artist and good friends. They developed thees together through mutual feelings of impatience. Here are their bios:
Kristín Karólína Helgadóttir (b. 1988) graduated from the Koninklijke Academia van Schone Kunsten (KASK) in Belgium with a master degree. She also holds a BA degree in philosophy and art theory from the University of Iceland. Kristín has been an active participant in art life for the past decade. She was part of artist-run exhibition space in Antwerpen, ABC Klubhuis (2017-2019), and Kunstschlager (2013-2015) in Reykjavík. In her practice; places, location and the spirit of the time plays an important part role. She often juxtapose natural phenomena and human behavior. In between these opposites, like between signs and meaning (Semiotics), a hidden narrator or emissary, intertwines these contrasts together in an ambiguous and intuitional way. Kristín’s main medium is video and she has shown her work in Berlin, Antwerpen, Ghent, Amsterdam and Iceland.
Kristín Helga Ríkharðsdóttir is an artist and filmmaker from Iceland currently based in New York. She graduated with a MFA degree from the Studio Art at the New York University Steinhardt in 2022 and prior to that she attained a BFA degree from Iceland University of the Arts in 2016. She also participated in an exchange program at Berlin University of the Arts (UdK). Through mixing phenomena and working with familiar imagery, she explore the hyperreality of her everyday environment. She is interested in the contrast between the natural, the man-made and the staged. Her work is influenced by her personal experiences and visual surroundings, as well as, math, sci-fi, cult movies, advertisements, memes and stock images. Kristín has been active in exhibiting, screening and taking part in various projects and film festivals both in Iceland and abroad.
