Anna Álfheiður Brynjólfsdóttir (f.1977) útskrifaðist með B.A. gráðu í myndlist frá Listaháskóla Íslands árið 2009 og M.A. gráðu í listkennslu frá sama skóla árið 2020. Síðastliðin ár hefur Anna verið að vinna með óhlutbundin þrívíð form málverksins í anda strangflatalistar sem hún nálgast á ljóðrænan hátt. Viðfangsefni verka Önnu er að leitast við að skapa samtal milli áhorfandans og verksins í gegnum skynjun hans og upplifun á margþættum myndfletinum þar sem litanotkun, formgerð og endurtekning spila stór hlutverk í samspili við staðsetningar, tíma og rúm.
Anna Álheiður Brynjólfsdóttir (1977) graduated with a B.A. degree in Fine Arts from The Iceland University of the Arts in 2009, and a Masters Degree in Arts Education from the same university in 2020. For the last few years the artist has been working with abstract three-dimensional shapes and forms of the painting, in the geometrical spirit, in which she approaches her subject in a poetic way. The subject of the artist’s works is to seek a conversation between the viewer and the works as a whole, through the viewer’s perception and experience of the multifaceted image, where the use of color, morphology and recurrence play a big role in the interaction with the environment, time and space.
