The work Stardust/Geimryk is the first in  a brand new series of Shoplifter’s encased relief like „drawings“ where she uses her signature medium, synthetic hair, to draw doodle like flows of lines and colors that become micro universes on astroturf background. The works title, Stardust, references the vastness of space, black holes and sense of endlessness. She uses the fibers to explore randomness vs intention, taming elements and organic formation where laws of physics and material limitation are tested with ease to a point where the line between chance and intention leads to movement that become spectacular formations. The visual parallels created by nature are echoed between the astrophysical realities, the macroscopic to the microscopic organic formations is communicated with swirls and gestures on the black astro turf backdrop to the hirsute entanglements that become their own universes, thinking patterns that lure the viewer to come closer and be swallowed up in the visual vortex where your mind travel on it’s own terms, one with time and space.
